If only.......

The New Season Begins? Or did we pick up where we left off?

Today is Saturday September 1, 2007. Today started early (before 6am) with the hope and promise of a new beginning for the season opener against the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Somewhere in the first half, those dreams seemed to fall apart and in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter, our dreams became a nightmare that no Michigan fan is soon to forget. We were outmanned, outcoached and outscored this afternoon. Chris, I'm sorry you had to stay up and watch the debacle that unfolded on the field of our beloved Big House. I'm sorry I stayed and endured the torture of watching my hopes for our team be flushed like......well, you know. Sorry for the rant, I'm disappointed and frustrated. It appears to me that we have learned nothing from the to$u and u$c games that continue to haunt us. This game will go down as the biggest upset in college football history. I'm sorry I have a ticket stub to show I was a part of that particular crowd.

Eric and company - good luck with the rest of your season, you have earned the respect of the 109,000+ people sitting in that stadium today. Hats off to the better team that played today, Appalachian State.

Celebrating Bonne's birthday - one of the only good things to come from today. It was the 28th - cards and gifts welcome =) The picture on the left is a starfish charm to put on my charm holder. The pic on the right is an enlargement of pictures I have taken - my giraffe, eagle, wolf, hummingbird and moose. Thanks Bill!!!

Our new tent complete with decorations supporting our troops - especially Chris and Don. Thanks guys!
