Notre Dame 15 September 2007

Saturday September 15, 2007

Well, today is the day of reckoning. Michigan (0-2) is playing a winless team out of South Bend AKA Notre Dame. According to an article in the paper yesteday, the winner now goes 1-2 and the loser goes to rehab. For the loser, it could be a looooong season. Going into the game, neither team has looked good. Michigan continues to be the leader in all-time wins, with Notre Dame a close second. The meeting between the two schools is always a favorite among fans and foes alike. Sparty and Bucknut fans don't know who to root for - both are so hated by their collective enemies.
A win today, and Michigan begins to redeem themselves in the eyes of the fans and critics alike. Michigan needs a win to have some momentum going into the Big Ten season which starts next week with a visit by Penn State.
The storyline in this matchup is the meeting of the #1 and #2 quarterbacks out of high school, Jimmy Claussen and Ryan Mallett. Claussen started last week against PSU and Mallett will have his first start today, although he played last week for an injured Chad Henne.
As you may or may not know, we won - hallelujah!! Please scroll down for the illustrated story.
