UM vs. Eastern Michigan 19 September 2009

Today's opponent features our Washtenaw County rival - the Eagles of Eastern Michigan University. To understand this game a little better, you must realize that many Michigan fans are, in fact, Eastern alums. Michigan's former defensive coordinator, Ron English, is the head coach for the Eagles. He was let go after the departure of Lloyd Carr, and I'm sure he feels that Rich Rodriguez is in his parking spot. There are signs all around town about how EMU football is back. Hmmm....really? If you say so.

I'll keep this short and sweet. We kicked their ass. 45-17. End of story. We are now 3-0 and we have managed to equal our win record of last year which took the entire season. Its been a while since we've been 3-0.

Next up: The Indiana Hoosiers for Homecoming. The Big Ten season is ready to open - and the future is bright.
